The Curse Stops Here – Why are we here?

Are we simply occupying space, passing time, and waiting for Christ to return? Or were we created to participate in the work of God while we are here?

God has been so good to me that I could spend the rest of my life expressing gratitude and still never say enough. Yet even with all He has already done, my heart continues to cry out for more.

More of His presence.

More of His will.

More understanding of His purpose for my life.

More opportunities to help people know Him.

Scripture tells us that God is patient because He does not desire for anyone to perish, but for all people to come to repentance.

“The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.”
—2 Peter 3:9 ESV

When I consider how many people are living in this world, I am not afraid to say that I am only getting started.

God gave me a voice—not only to sing, but also to speak, teach, encourage, worship, and declare His works. Those of us who have been called to worship cannot remain silent. We must proclaim the truth of Jesus Christ so that others may be drawn to Him.

Staying in Tune with Heaven

To carry God's message, we must remain sensitive to His voice.

That sounds simple, but it is not always easy.

Every day we hear countless voices, opinions, expectations, trends, and ideas. They can become so loud that we struggle to recognize what God is saying.

Lately, I have experienced God moving in ways that are unexpected and far outside of what feels traditional or comfortable. He has placed me in situations where obedience requires courage.

Sometimes He leads me to speak when I would rather remain quiet.

Sometimes He urges me to pray for someone in a public place.

Sometimes He gives me an idea that has never been done the way He is showing it to me.

Immediately, the questions begin:

What will people think?

What if they misunderstand me?

What if this has never been done before?

But God is calling me out of the box of familiarity and into a life of faith, courage, and obedience.

I have discovered that the moments that make me most uncomfortable are often the moments in which He is most powerfully glorified.

When I surrender control and obey His leading, God does things I could never accomplish through my own strength.

Heaven Has a Sound

There are moments in worship when something shifts.

The voices, instruments, prayers, and surrendered hearts begin to move together, and the atmosphere feels filled with the presence of God. The sound becomes more than music. It becomes a vessel through which hearts are softened, burdens are lifted, and people are drawn toward Jesus.

There is nothing quite like it.

Once you experience that place in worship, you do not want to leave.

For more than a decade, I have written songs and lyrics intended to lead people into the presence of God. My desire has always been to create music that encourages people to seek Him and love Him with their whole hearts.

Recently, while writing a new song, I became stuck.

The song had begun during a worship session with my sister at a women's conference. Later, the Holy Spirit led me back to lyrics I had written while listening to a sermon. The words fit beautifully—but I still needed the melody.

I prayed, “God, I need a sound that carries the same power as these words.”

His answer was simple:

“Tune into Heaven.”

At first, I thought I already was.

But during my devotional time a few days later, the phrase returned to me:

Heaven has a frequency.

As a musician and vocal coach, I naturally began thinking about sound, pitch, vibration, and the way every voice carries its own recognizable tone.

Your Voice Carries Something

Every person produces sound.

We speak.

We sing.

We hum.

We laugh.

We cry.

Each voice has a unique tone, texture, range, and resonance. As a vocal coach, I can often hear someone's speaking voice and get an idea of where their natural singing range may fall.

For years, people have recognized me by my voice. Whether I was speaking or singing, they noticed its depth and strength. To me, it was simply the voice I had always possessed.

But over time, prophetic words, spiritual experiences, and moments in worship helped me understand that God could use my voice for more than music.

People told me that my worship opened the atmosphere.

They said my voice carried healing, deliverance, and a sound that challenged spiritual opposition.

Because these words were confirmed more than once, I began paying closer attention to what happened when I surrendered my voice fully to God.

During my research, I encountered teachings connecting certain musical frequencies—particularly 432 Hz—with harmony, peace, and healing. Scientific and spiritual communities do not universally agree on those claims, so I do not present them as settled fact. But the concept became a powerful spiritual picture for me.

It reminded me that God created my voice intentionally.

Its depth was not a mistake.

Its tone was not an accident.

Its strength was not something I needed to apologize for.

He created it with purpose.

Created on Purpose

That revelation reached far beyond music.

God did not only design my vocal range. He created every part of me with intention.

My personality.

My testimony.

My creativity.

My compassion.

My experiences.

My ability to teach.

My desire to worship.

Even the parts of myself I once questioned can become instruments in His hands.

The same is true for you.

You may not express your purpose through singing, but Heaven has placed something distinctive inside you.

Perhaps your “sound” is your ability to encourage.

Maybe it is your compassion for hurting people.

It could be your gift for leadership, teaching, writing, building, organizing, serving, creating, parenting, mentoring, or praying.

God did not create you to imitate someone else's assignment.

You are not a copy.

You are not an accident.

You are not taking up space.

You are His workmanship.

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

What Is Your Heavenly Frequency?

What awakens your spirit and draws you closer to God?

What gift continues to rise within you, even when you try to ignore it?

What burden has God placed on your heart?

What comes alive when you fully surrender to Him?

That may be where your Kingdom assignment is waiting.

Your heavenly frequency is not merely a musical note. It is the unique expression of God's purpose flowing through your life.

It is what happens when your gifts, obedience, testimony, and faith come into agreement with the will of God.

The world does not need another imitation.

It needs the authentic sound God placed inside you.

I Am a Masterpiece of Heaven

I now sing and speak with a deeper awareness.

I may not always see what is happening in the spiritual atmosphere, but I trust the One who created my voice. I believe that when I surrender it to Him, He can use it to bring healing, encouragement, conviction, freedom, and worship.

That is not because I am powerful on my own.

It is because the Holy Spirit can breathe through anything placed fully in His hands.

So I will keep singing.

I will keep speaking.

I will keep writing.

I will keep declaring His goodness.

I will keep tuning my heart toward Heaven.

I am not here merely to exist.

I was created for an assignment.

I am God's workmanship.

I am an instrument in His hands.

I am a masterpiece of Heaven.

And I am only getting started.

What voices or traditions have made it difficult for you to obey God's direction?

When do you feel most spiritually alive and connected to His presence?

What is one step of courageous obedience God may be asking you to take?

Prayer

Father God, Creator of all things,

I worship You and thank You for creating me in Your image. Thank You for designing me with intention and placing gifts, purpose, and a unique sound within me.

Forgive me for the times I have compared myself to others, questioned what You created, or treated my gifts as insignificant. Help me understand the assignment You prepared for my life.

Teach me to silence every voice that competes with Your direction. Give me courage to obey You when Your leading feels unfamiliar or uncomfortable.

Show me how to develop and use what You have placed inside me for Your glory. Tune my heart to Your presence, my ears to Your voice, and my life to Your will.

I reject every lie that says I am an accident, a copy, or without purpose. I am Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works.

Use my voice, my gifts, my story, and my life to draw others closer to You.

God, be glorified through me.
